“The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and the Department of Human Services submitted a legislative report to the Joint Budget Committee regarding the possible relocation of the Division of Developmental Disabilities, the State Unit on Aging and the Children's Residential Habilitation Program from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. This move is being considered now in order to leverage federal health care reform dollars, to streamline our Long Term Care system and to improve services to clients. We would like your input on this proposal to assess if we are on the right track or if we need to make some adjustments in our thinking.

Please join us for a broad discussion about the actual proposal to relocate these programs, as well as the initiative of Long Term Care System Redesign. This will be the first of several community forums and will be held on November 16th, 8:15am - 10:15am at the Fort Logan Auditorium. Feel free to forward this email to your respective networks.
